Date: 17 November 2013
Place: The Promontory @ Marina Bay
Race: Run for Hope 2013
And so… here we are. Full team accounted for, less than 12 hours from our last race, raring to go for our very last race of the season. Sijie, Khim, Hermann, Wilfred, Joel, myself and a special guest yellow fellow, Marc!
Marc is actually one of our sponsors who got bit by the running bug and decided to join us for our last race. Thank you and Quirky Designs for all the belief and support bro! You are always welcome as honorary Yellow Fellow anytime!
All of us were still just a little bit sore from the run the day before and Sijie was feeling a little bit under the weather. But, we still made it for the run and we were going to go out with a bang!
The route was really familiar and the weather was a nice and cool. Everyone running the race and a massive smile on their faces cos deep down, they know they are doing something good just by being there that morning.
Overall, it was an awesome race save for the muddy bits at the start/finish line. It also brought to a close the Yellow Fellows fund raising campaign for this year. All in all, we had so much fun doing it that the races just flew by. We have done our part, and we were really blessed to have people who believed in us and in what we were doing. We may have reached our target but we can still aim higher. You still have about slightly over 30+ days to donate to our cause, the Singapore Cancer Society.
If you haven’t donated and would like to make a tax free donation, just head over to the give.sg website and make your donation there.
I would really like to take this opportunity to thank, once again, all who have donated to our cause, believed in us and supported us. Our sponsors Oakley, Adidas, Belif Singapore and Quirky Designs. Our families and friends who were with us all the way in person and spirit.
