So the other day, I was invited to the launch of the Official World Cup ball at Vivo.
It was held fairly late in order to launch the ball together with the Host Nation, South Africa. I got myself to Vivo around 11.30pm in time to catch the first performance and fashion show.
Then came the time to launch the official match ball for the world cup games…. The Jabulani!
Now, you might be wondering, what does it mean? Well, I happen to know so I am going to share it all with you, Jabulani actually means “to celebrate” in isiZulu. So there, in case someone asks you what it means, you now know.
The party was great, and what made it better was the fact that I got my hands on one of the replica limited edition jerseys. You might have caught a glimpse of it during one of the recent games between France and Ireland. You have seen players wear a 2nd layer underneath their jerseys, well, now, with the new Techfit jersey, they will only have to wear one layer. Enough talk, take a look…..
There you have it, are you drooling yet? If you are, you better head out and get it soon cos there are limited numbers of this beauty. Oh! one more thing, it doesn’t come with the printing, if you want that, it’s an extra cost….
