After a crazy couple of weeks, and a year that passed way too fast, I turned a year older once again.
This time last year, I spent my birthday in the beautiful island of Mauritius on a project with Mel.
It was great to be able to spend my birthday away from home, but this year, I got to spend it right here. And what a day it was. My dearest wife brought me out on a date and I loved every second of it! Started it with a nice quiet lunch at Donna Carmela (I think that was how it was spelt). Everyone should be lucky enough to try it at least once, dine with a loved one, with great food and wonderful ambience.
After lunch, it was off for a really cool birthday treat, watching “GI Joe” in a Gold Class theatre. Really fun I tell you. A bit extravagant but since it was my birthday, Mel decided to pamper me a little.
So, after placing our orders at the lounge, we were ushered into the theatre. Always an exciting feeling settling down in our plush seats and waiting for the movie to start. Baby also decided to get a glass of champers for the both of us to celebrate the occasion. Nice!
After the movie, we picked my mother in law up and went to my folks place for dinner. Dinner was made better with the best company a person could have, parents, wife and good food. The Roti Jala really hit the spot! The “surprise” cake was from awfully chocolate and I must say, it was awfully sinful. Yummy, but sinful.
…. and just like that, I say goodbye to 35 and hello to 36!
I thank the good Lord for all his blessings, I thank my parents and in-laws for their love and support, I thank all my friends who flooded my facebook wall as well as my phone with their birthday wishes, but most of all, I thank my lovely wife who has given me a real purpose in life, love to last me 10 lifetimes over, for planning this day and sticking by me no matter what.
I feel the love and I am definitely thankful for all that I have.
You don’t look 36, Randall. I hope I will age as gracefully are you.
Happy belated birthday.
Thank you very much Razlan. haha… you will don’t worry!
