New Addition

Ok, so I know that I have not been really regular with my updates.

I guess I had too many things floating around in my head that I keep wanting to put down in writing but every time I sat down at the computer and wanted to start writing, nothing seemed to come out.  Best part is that I don’t even know why.

Mel and I have been trying to get rid of stuff that we no longer have any use for and packing up the stuff that we want to bring over to the new place.  The whole place looks like a bomb went off in the middle of the hall. Plus, we had a recent addition to the family coming in the form of the cutest little kitten you would ever set your eyes on…

We had a bit of a headache trying to get our “baby” girl to accept him.  The first few days were quite disheartening as she would walk pass us growl, snarl, hiss and sometimes take a swipe at our legs.  Could you blame her?  She had been the only queen of her domain for the last 10 years, and now, she has to put up with this little pipsqueak. Oh the horrors!

It has been a week and a bit and we are slowly getting her to accept him.  She has even gotten to the point where she can bring herself back into the room to sleep on the bed again, and she even goes up to him in the cage to take a few sniffs.  But that is all she will do for now.
