Mother’s Day Celebration

So the clan descended upon MP to celebrate Mother’s day.

A day of great food (Kueh Pie Tee, Roti Jala, Chwee Kueh, Chicken Rice and Nonya Kueh), good drinks (An Italian Rose, A Josmeyer Reisling, 2 other bottles of Chardonnay, Beer and others), good company (almost the whole clan) and good fun (Wiiii).

Yes, we had an awesome time and we didn’t even notice that time had passed so fast.  All too soon, it was time for everyone to leave and MP was left to Mel, mummy and I to clean up.  I do have to say that this celebration was definitely a success!  Everyone left with their tummy’s full and minds filled with great memories of a great Sunday spent with family.

Mothers

The day before, Mel and I spent with her side of the family with a simple pot luck dinner and of course, my baby took this opportunity to show off her husband’s cooking, so I spent the whole of Saturday morning preparing my “famous” sotong goreng chilli. heh heh… the simplest dish I could whip up in a short amount of time.

That party ended with Sir Cliff Richard playing on the dvd player and a “friendly” game of Monopoly between the cousins and nephews.

Times spent with good food, good company, and good fun is what I would consider one of the best weekends I had in a long long time.

To all the Mother’s out there, A Happy Mother’s Day to you all.  Especially to the supermom in Perth….*wink*
