Tomorrow is my daddy’s birthday, so as a surprise and a treat, we decided to bring him to the Singapore Flyer for a ride and lunch after that.
We wanted to toast my dad while we were “airborne” but unfortunately, no food or drinks are allowed in the capsule so I ended up having to check my bag of drinks to the baggage counter… oh well, the thought was there.
Anyway, we all have a good time snapping away and enjoying the views and may I say, somehow, being up there and seeing all the progress that is taking place, seeing the floating platform getting prepped for the National Day Parade, seeing the IR slowly “growing”, seeing the entrance to the pitlane for the F1 race and the paddock area, and just seeing the Singapore Skyline itself made me a little patriotic and I think, it made my dad feel the same way.
Well, I think we all enjoyed ourselves as well as our yummy (read: oily) lunch…..
