Dim Sum Joy

Was invited by a good friend to come to her new restaurant called Dim Joy and check out their menu as well as the new place, which I did tonight with Mel.  It was an impromptu decision because yours truly was a bit too lazy to come back home and cook…. so yeah, we headed down to 80 Neil Road (which is the address of the place) but not before I made a call to make reservations.

So we sat down and when we were handed the menu, we realized that we were going to go back with our tummies filled with some yummy Dim Sum.  We got to ordering, which started rather conservatively, and then it got a bit out of hand.  Just to give you an idea, here was what we ordered….

2 servings of the Har Gao King Shrimp

Siew Mai

Honey-syrup Char Siew Bao

Bo Lo Bao

Shrimps & Chives with Rice Roll (better known as Chee Cheong Fun)

Pan Fried Radish Cake

Pork & Chive Wor Tip

Herbal Phoenix Talon (Chicken feet lah!)

Osmanthus Green Tea Jelly

Durian Snow Pearl

Fresh Mango Pudding

Kwai Ling Gao

and a pot of Bo Lei Tea

Phew!  So there you have it, we were so busy eating that we did forget to take some pictures but we did manage to get a few shots in….

Another thing to mention is that the service was prompt and friendly and the ambience was really cosy.

Actually, all I can say is, pay them a visit and try it out for yourself.  But remember to call ahead to make reservations…

ps…. if you are a durian lover, you really have to check out the Durian Snow Pearl, but a word of warning, if you are meeting clients after or have a big date with a hot chick you only just met, don’t do it…
